Lachlan Wilkins is an Australian violinist at the Queensland Conservatorium, currently studying with Michele Walsh. Growing up in Bellingen, he was trained in the Suzuki and AMEB methods from members of the Sydney Symphony Orchestra.
Having taught beginner to advanced violin students of all ages for the last five years, he likes to perform regularly as a soloist and chamber musician. In 2015 Lachlan performed with the international solo pianist David Helfgott on tour in Perth, Western Australia.
Lachlan has played in the Queensland Symphony Orchestra through the violin internship program and performs as a member of the Australian Youth orchestra and ensemble programs.
Lachlan is a former member of the Bellingen Youth Orchestra and returns to Bellingen this year to perform as part of the Bellingen Fine Music Festival’s 10th anniversary.
