Alice Jamison

Alice Jamison has a versatile life as a pianist, teacher and mother living in Coffs Harbour.  Inspired by her mother, Liz Jamison, Alice began playing the piano at 4 and quickly developed her skills in playing the piano.

Whilst studying music at Melbourne University, Alice became enchanted by opera and all things vocal.  This led to two post graduate degrees in repetiteur studies, one in Melbourne at the Victorian College of the Arts, and the other, as a scholarship recipient at the Guildhall School of Music, UK under Victor Morris.  Upon graduation Alice was offered a position as vocal coach in the Opera Department at the Juilliard School, New York.  As a repetiteur Alice has worked for Oz Opera, BAPA, Melbourne Opera, Sommerset Opera, One World Opera, Regina Opera, and Bronx Opera.

Relocating to Coffs Harbour Alice has enjoyed teaching piano, playing for student exams and performances, and performing locally as a collaborative pianist, and more recently as a Cecchetti ballet pianist.
